Default ok, normally, I don't street race, but this guy in GTO had it coming to him.

My commute to work... coming out of the toll booths, he's to the left and we're both taking the left ramp that loops around right and onto the PA Turnpike. I leave my booth first in a normal gas saving manner and start moving left, and I hear a tire chirp and V8 exhaust. This douche in a newer GTO just barely misses my front bumper cover and squeeze passed along the barrier to the on ramp. I take this ramp every day. I know it well. So, I let Mr. GTO Douche, MGTOD for short, have his lead down the ramp and make his sloppy, brake full turn-in around the ramp. Giving him his space, Quattro says "go ahead, use the loud pedal now well before MGTOD is going to be able to do." To me, this isn't a ricer flyby, but that's what it looked like. You see smoke, dust pop out of MGTOD's exhaust, but I'm already WOT in 3rd about the climb into his back seat for his failed attempt of walking away from me. You can see his bright wide eyes as his LS2 V8 is no match for Quattro + APR stage 3 + Tracksports + RT615 tires + Mr. Silver Sreakin' without his coffee yet. After shutting down around 120+ next to him and lifting to 75, MGTOD dropped back to ~70 and faded away.

ok, back to your regularly scheduled program.

What are everyone's weekend mod/maintenance plans?

Hopefully, I'll be picking up a stock caliper to replace mine that I snapped the bleeder off when I removed my StopTechs that are being repaired. And, picking up a cheapo set of winter wheels/tires since my winter tires are shot. I may just sell the wheels, since I only need/want the Blizzaks for my S4 wheels that I use in the winter. If there's time, I would really like to install my 4:1 diff.

Default haha good morning.

-w8 belly pan. NJDOT working on the road left me a nice 3inch lip. ripped out a 1ft x 1ft chunk of the skidpan. 113$

-driverside door sensor is being annoying and sometimes not registering the door closed for the last week. Blinking door driving down the highway sucks. Attacking that with contact cleaner and some wd40.

-new air filter, throw the k&n out and return to cotton.

Figure out motormounts. 034 solid rubber... stock oil mounts... or rs4 oil mounts. Hrm Hrm Hrm.

Continue epic search for side mount intercooler.

Default same, but a good stress reliever! just wish ma' quattro had moar pwah to do that when it is needed

I've decided that I'm going to get a 1.8T Avant and take it to Stg III but won't be until this winter that I start the project. However, I've started diverting Bike & Ski funds to the Stg. III Avant fund....

Default NICE, and the fact that he backed way off tells the story. This weekend,

just doing the much needed TLC of wash/clay/polish/wax.

Default Nice. Weekend - looking at a 4000SQ for a beater and pulling the trans out of the TDI.

Starting the 5 speed swap on the Rover TDI as well as installing a monster turbo.

Truck will be down a couple weeks or so.

So that lead me to a '85-86 (I forget) 4000SQ near me for sale.... may have to pick it up. :-P

I always regretted selling the one I had - wifey and I called it "zippy". It was slow but fun.
