ok people.....my cooling fan is constantly on and my car sounds like a jet......
i assume the 'clutch' which controls the fan is busted.....is it easy to fix?.....any ideas welcome

You might need a new clutch.. When the car is off, and the engine is cool, you should be able to...
spin the fan by hand. IF not, probably the clutch is bound up. IF so, run the engine, monitor how the fan is running. When the clutch is disengaged, the fan will turn slowly. When it is engaged, it will turn noticeably faster, and there will be the noise that you describe. If the fan starts turning fast right away, your fan clutch is locked. I have no idea how expensive they are.
You may be able to swap this out with the nose in place, but I have never tried, so I don't know if it's possible.

It's on all the time Kris, first when i start the car it makes a horrible 'help i'm broken' sound...
then it's on constantly and seems to be taking power up too...or at least holding back the revs a bit. It's jammed solid when the engine is off.
By the way i'm working in Germay for a month so i might get parts cheap!

Yep. Time for a new one.
Where in Germany are you working? Most of my trips to visit my family were made in the winter for my grandfather's birthday, so I usually didn't see many cool cars.. But I did get lots of good driving in!

Are they easy to fit.... do you know how?.....
I'm in Essen near Dusseldorf till the end of the month and hope to get to Köln for a day or two.
Just about every car is modded....even the small cars....and they all have really small fat deep dish alloys wish are growing on me.....every car seems to be lowered too. Every green light is like a drag race!

With the nose in place, I can't say. With the nose off, yes.
I have been to Essen, it's nice there if I recall.. My grandfather lived just outside of Frankfurt, but we toured around a lot.
