Should be fine...I swapped pads @30k without changing rotors

I changed to Rofren pads @ 10k miles.

Default I changed to mintex at 2800 with stock rotors - had some squeel (more)

I changed to mintex at 2800 miles- left stock rotors in - had some brake squeel. Got rid of that by champfering the pad edges (like stock pads) and liberal use of anti squeel spray. Did the same thing on my GTI - but replaced rotors and pads as set - had no squeel at all, so I suspect you may have some bed in issues until the pads get used to the old rotors.

Raybestos pads installed at 27k miles. No problems.
