I saw this while over big nip's house, wanted him to take a picture of it, and it's actually the 1.8T Transverse downpipe shown in the picture...

after looking at their website, they posted some more pictures...

they also claim it to be their "raceline" but as you can see on their website, this is the sportline downpipe...

Default I've been trying to lookup online other sources for flex joints, it may look cool, but probably...

way overpriced... mine are already pushing 50-60 dollars, and we had to order 200 flex joints, becuase we wanted them in full stainless steel, instead of aluminized steel ends.

If there are other sources for more interested flex pipes, I'll look into it, as I've never seen that before.

The cat bypass you mean?

Yes supposevly the plan on the cat relocation is to use the 3" iconel(sp?) shaped bypass with the first 02 sensor, than run down the downpipe, to a the hi flow catalytic converter with the 2nd 02 senor relocated as well down below, and if there is a kit, it'll come with all the hardware necessary to mount the 02 wire down to the bottom of the car.

Default Re: Can the SPP DP (your's) hook up to a high flow cat or testpipe? Which one would be best suited?

thanks.

Default of course, it was designed for each other.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.laer.nu/pictures/pictureboy-68-151.jpg"></center><p>and a cat would be added after the downpipe, 2.5 inch round or flat.

Default Is that test pipe avail from SPP? would it fit on mine? why bother with cat at all (more)...

if i live in a county w/ no emission regulations (or is there prob on 1.8t w/o cat).
On another note, I went back to the shop for the DP rubbing and we further modify (cut) the big bar going across some more and reused the factory hanger joint and welded it to your DP and that solved that problem. However, just FYI that b/c the SPP DP is a bit lower than stock it makes the whole exhaust system (Milltek) hang lower. Since I have the sports pkg it is a tiny bit rubbing against the rear sway bar (I'll look into solution for it next week as well as getting a mandrel bent a foot piping to match the Milltek). I didnt have a camera but I will try to take some pics for you next week if you like.

Default well

I have no problem having another one made, they are pricy though, so I'll warn you now.

It would probably just go through me, cashiers check or money order.

The current DP is supposed was designed for increased clearance, the only reason it's hanging lower is because of the increase in size.

The flex pipe is the lower part on it, I'm going to actually look into other flex pipes that might provide even more clearance, and see what I can dig up, similar to the force motion flex joint. Ive seen thinner long ones, but I dont think I'd wanna use them.
