Well i got my FMIC from T5 about 3 weeks ago... i have been itching to install it but i was waiting for a certain some one to do a write up on it. but we had conflicting schedules so i decided to do it this morning.

well i started @ 3:00PM ended @ 7:00PM
the fit is almost perfect i had some special factors that made things difficult.
1. i have a Euro S4 Bumper
2. Hella Supertone horns
3. no install instructions


well every thing bolted up fine that was not the problem. my problems were that the temp sensor and the metal bar that i think is connected to P/S hoses did not fit under the FMIC with my Bumper. and the bumper will not go on due to the FMIC pipes.

I had to relocate the pipe and temp sensor up north of the FMIC, and the bumper had to be cut. the main problem is with the Euro S4 bumper which is flatter thant he US spec (not crash legal) it rubs against the FMIC. the pipes hits the hangers for the fogs. those had to be cut off and i had to tie wire the bar to the FMIC on top. all in all the install was ok not as easy as i thought but good enough. the major pain was removing the OEM Ic that was tricky...

well... as for power gains i did not get any that i can feel. all i can say is i lost about 2psi and the boost seems to spike up faster than a gradual move up. my main reason for the FMIC is to run a Race Chip for the K03 (keep in mind i have a 98 A4) and complete my Hohenester Turbo upgrade. i hope to have the kit done in 2 months or so ready to lay it down on the dyno and show some time slips. Stage 3 ppl i want to rock with you guys any day!
