Default I did that with my EBC greens when I switched to the ECS slotted rotors..

Sounded like a gravel truck for about 25-30 miles and made the rotors look like a mess as all the junk got "cleaned" off the pads. The slots all filled up with brake pad material. All is well now, with the front rotors looking great and just a little bit of residule left on the rears.

Default So long as old rotors didn't gouge them up

Why did you replace the rotors? If because they were pretty badly worn with very rough surface, I would NOT reuse the pads. If rotor surface was smooth and pads likewise are smooth, see no reason not to resue them.
