One will let me recode the soft code to Auto/Quattro and the other will not, what gives? This seems so strange, there must be a way to change it!! It's driving me nuts, anyone have something to try?

Default Paging GilliamOS or TwentyValveB5, from the forums, it looks like you've had some experience...

with this sort of thing, any ideas? TwentyValveB5, did you ever figure out a way to code your ECU for quattro or has it been working just fine coded for FWD?

Default Sounds to me like you are locked out of one of them...

Possibly you need to enter a WSC(workshop code) for that one that isn't letting you recode.

Default I gave that a shot and tried one that GilliamOS mentioned in one of his posts..

but no luck, also now that WSC seems to be locked in!

Default i was paged! woohoo

since quattro on our cars is 100% mechanical, the ECU doesn't really care. all that matters is that the tranny is coded correctly.

you'll be fine.

Default Any idea if the same thing applies to Fwd? Does it matter if the ECU is coded for..

FWD without ASR or FWD with ASR for a Fwd car?

Default Hmm...

Sorry I did see this sooner. I search everynow and then for people paging my help. I can't remember my coding for my 557 N box, but I did have the same issue. It was more important to recode for me because I was going from a manual tranny to a auto.

I ended up entering 65655 for my WSC and 06051 for my soft code.
