you're probably right. If you mean him venting and being furious with the dealer...I suspect he would be just a bit less unhappy if the second half of that conversation never happened. And they might have even put the car in the garage during the hailstorms passing through the area today.

typically on another day I probably woudln't have made that comment, but the fact that i left a pretty high stress meeting regarding deadlines (which i'm pretty much on the line for) to answer his call didn't help. I was already in the aggressive mood.
but that's just my excuse..

Sometimes it's hard to accept others telling us they couldn't meet a deadline, when we're held to higher standards in our day to day lives. It's almost enough to make you scream out "WTF?!?!!!". :-P

so they closed shop on time and my car wasn't done that day. I complained to my g/f, what the fvck goes on in other businesses where they can put off customers like that. I work in IT and if the power goes out and things need work, I stay until it's done. I don't leave on time and tell my clients "day's over, wait til tomorrow". That's where I expect what goes around to come around some day.

Somewhere, somehow, there will be an IT guy that goes home at 5, and says to himself "it can wait until tomorrow". Meanwhile, that service manager's closing date on his new house gets pushed back, he loses the lock on his mortgage, causing his rates to inflate enough to add $75/mo to his mortgage for 30 years ($27K for those that don't want to do the math).
Don't laugh...it happened to one of my coworkers. He was ready to shoot some IT guy in Northern NJ. :-P
