can some one explain to me how spring controled bov 's work and why youd want stiffer spring rate or lesser spring rate thanks

People who use BOV aren't well liked in these parts. Get yourself the N75 J valve instead.

Default They work the same way as a BPV only the air is vented to atmosphere rather than recirculated. There

are piston and diaphram types of each. The piston or diaphram is held closed against boost until vacuum is applied to a port that 'pulls' the valve open, spilling the pressurized air. Adding a stiffer spring will require more vacuum to pull the valve open. Too soft a spring and the valve can be 'blown open' from the boost pressure. Too stiff a spring and it may not open at throttle lift or may open momentarily and then quickly close again as the pressure drops.

what if there is not enough vaccum or the spring is too hard what would the bov do
