If you are year 97-99.5 you should really look into the PC16/PDK16 set up. If you are 2000 you should look into the J31 file set up. If you are 2001-2001.5, i woudlnt bother going K04.
with the PC16 or PDK16(just updated from the PC16), or the J31 file, you will need to run bigger injectors, adj. FPR, and highly recomended for a upgraded SMIC or FMIC.

you might be in for a world of headaches with an 01 and K04. You're in the Boston area right?

currently i would not go for any aftermarket turbo for the 01 years
unless it was an apr s3+ or 034efi setup. too costly right now.
or you could get custom tuning from upsolute/unitronic/revo (once it is out)
and an atp gtrs elim/atp manifold combo.
that is what i am waiting for myself actually (revo software/atp gtrs/atp manifold)
