OOPS, my trip odometer says what looks like "1n1" after refueling.

In an earlier message I thought it said "LOL" but I looked at it again tonight and it's "1n1".
Any thoughts on what it means? I almost always get it when I start the car back up after refueling (and I always put the cap on tight). Also it did the message when I started the car this evening. It flashes where the trip distance should be displayed for a few seconds and then eventually the trip milage is shown again. Also, if you hit the reset button on the trip meter, it stops the "1n1" from flashing and displays the trip distance again (without resetting it).
