My MY2000 chip was AMS only tuning along with my buddies stg3 tuning.
Mark used to be an ABT dealer and sold some of their chips on special order. When he sold them they were much more expensive then his sauce.
not sure where you get your info from but its not right. his S4 stuff with the ABT k04s is derivative of ABT software. maybe you mixed up the two.
oh and my info came from marks mouth when he was installing my chip at AMS as i asked him if i was getting an ABT chip. he said it is a common mistake that people make.

I thought Hans D. had a hand in developing the 1.8T?
I could be completely wrong.
But i know Dahlback has been tuning audis for quite some time, has a close relationship w/ the race team, and has been tuning the 5 cyl turbo for a while.
But when it comes down to it, who cars who has been around longer, you are happy, im happy... Just accelerate and smile.

2000 is long after the time I am referring to.
I am not surprised that almost 4 years after the fact things may change! Please remember Mark chipped my car nearly 10 years ago! And I knew of his shop for parts on my Jetta II before that. Were you even old enough to drive a car?? lol I know that the 2000 chip is AMS only. I was talking about when things started off before you were around. ABT special order more than his sauce...how much more? The original AMS/ABT chip from 1997 was not cheap at all. And...you basically said the same thing I have. When did you meet Mark and do you realize I am speaking about early 1997? 2000- people should STFU in my opinion..you weren't there to know what happened early on. If you knew what was going on, you shouldn't have asked him if you were getting an ABT chip on your 2000! And..please please tell me you are talking about the first chip in early 1997..otherwise you are a noob to it all. There wasen't even a Stage 3 chip at the time dude. Now..he seems to still sell ABT products. His place in Carson is not too far from where I live now. I used to go to the Costa Mesa store, but that was long ago before he then recently went to a big operation. The straight ABT software from Germany does not exactly work on the US Audi A4, just so you know. And I do realize the old software has changed over the years about 4 different times, as I have had all of those programs. I talked with Mark many years before you ever did or had an A4. Whatever who cares..I just think it is another example of a disrespectful noob with half the story. Some of what you said is true, but it is the 2000- noob story really. Not to bag on you, but it is true.

lmfao marc chipped my car almost 6 years ago. i got the software when it first came out.
disrespectful noob. lmfao you are barking up the wrong tree son. so you hang out with marc and kiss his ***. he tells you things and you regurgitate them to make yourself feel important on the forums, and try to cut down people. i still have more knowledge about these cars then you could ever dream of having. case and point. marc didnt tune my turbo kit. i did it with jeff moss.
