Default Yes

but there is this little thing called a "maf" which reads the increase in air flow and then the ecu increases injector pulse.

The K04 software just takes advantage of the slightly lower IAT's by adding more adv timing and even more so if it is tuned for a FMIC.

Only way the engine would blow up is if the injectors were maxed out to start out with.

BTW it was a loaded question.

Default It will vary with the vacum and boost, where as the crushed will not. So I am sure it would....more

make a difference. Hoppen insisted that the software was setup for the Motorsport FPR. But I would look at your fuel trims and see how they are before I would buy the motorsport FPR. But right now I was going to try ModifiedA4's approach and swap to 180 TT injectors (which are also in the 2000 Jetta) and a 3 bar FPR or maybe try a 3.5 bar FPR (having trouble at the moment with that one, only EIP Tuning has it for $100) realize his setup and mine are on ATW motors.

Default Both the real 5bar and crushed will work exactly the same

since both use vacuum/pressure to increase/decrease fuel pressure. Only real difference is one cost way more then the other.

Default True, but most chips are tuned to run slightly rich

which is why the ecu usually has to pull fuel out and after the 187g/s the ecu just uses the fuel map.

I believe the problem was it was no longer a linear response when it was crushed.

Default Car would not run right constant throttle cut, switched to MTM and ahve had no problem

I have had 15 different GIAC programs on two different cars and only about 2 of them didn;t have severe problems, those 2 still had awful drivability.

Also had an APR chip that was great, but they don't do ko4 files for the B5.
