ordered clutch today but 1 question?

having trouble finding someone who can surface dual mass flywheel localy. has anyone put clutch on without a resurface?. we do it all the time in our race cars with no problems. just wanted anyones experiances with actually trying it. i know ill probably get 100 replies of why i shouldnt but would appreciate any input from someone who has attempted. ps it is a spec stg2

If oil has leaked on it(ie from the RMS) or it has hot spots or cracking , you might want to consider replacing it. If it does not have any of the above mentioned items, just clean it up and reinstall.
Considering the labor it takes to drop a gearbox on a quattro, I generally replace them. Then again , I like the car to drive and feel absolutely like new. Nothing worse then going to all that effort and having a clutch shudder , only to do the job all over again.
