Default ordering my timming belt kit. Need to find engine code?

Where is it located? I was told to look in the spare tire well, I did. I couldnt make heads from tails of all those numbers or where the engine code would be located on that paper?

Default what engine do you have? what year?

if you a have 1.8t, the engine code is engraved on the lift loop under engine cover.

for instance "ATW" would be engraved on a 2000 1.8t engine lift loop.

Take engine cover off, look down. Three letters.

Default Just found mine yesterday

I have a 2000 1.8T and mine was on the sticker in the spare tire well. It'll say ENG code or something like that. Mine's a "ATW" your's is probably a AEB or something. I found great prices on all the timing belt related stuff (water pump etc.) by calling Rod at Thepartsconnection.com
Good luck!

you should have AEB, but it's very easy to doublecheck.
