Default I currently ride a Burton Custom 164 it is OK

I also have the Burton Step-in SI-X which I'm getting rid of. If anyone is interested. I'm going back to the Switch Highbacks they are easier to get into and don't clog.

Default It is all preference. Burtons are overpriced but still a good board..

I don't think anybody can argue that the Burton line is over priced, but I don't think anybody can really argue that there board are also good. I have my beatup board, Custom 164, for 4 years and it is still great (except the topsheet). I also have my BMC that is incrediable. I have also ridden many Salomon boards and they are also very good but I just don't like the way they feel overall. Ride boards are ok but feel to loose to me. Once again which snowboard is better? It is all preference. You make the decision. Go do a demo day. That is the best way to find out. As far as Burton's, overall a good board, usually over priced that is why you wait for a sale. And the topside scratches way to easy. Just my take.

Default Depends on the entirely setup

I ride the OSin/Emery highback setup and it works great. It never clogs and I can step in off the lift. I don't have any issues with toe-lift or responsiveness and the boots fit great.

That is the main issue with stepins - the boots. If the boots don't fit you, you won't like the setup, even if the bindings are awesome.

Default I need extreme, loss-of-circulation level tightness on my ankles...step-ins cannot do it...

I will always wear straps because IMO it allows better flexibilty, when hitting kickers, pipe, drops whatever... I just feel like I have a better chance of sticking something with strap bindings.

Default In case anyone is snowboard shopping I have a brand new Burton & bindings f/s.......

A friend has a brand new Burton Miche board (161 length) and brand new Burton C14 carbonfibre bindings. I can get a great (I mean GREAT deal considering the board is worth $475 and the bindgins are about $400) deal on it with the Burton bindings, with my Forum ATP bidings (used 5 times and I'll take the Burtons) or just the board by itself.

Email if interested.
