Default Other than Ice-Link (LAME display on the symphony) what are my options for iPod integration?

I would like to see the song info on the symphony or have a second display to show that info so I don't need to look at the iPod itself.

Am I out of luck or are there available options for this?

2000 A4 Avant w/ symphony.

I will not swap the symphony head unit so that is not an option.

TIA for your help!

Default Harmon Kardon

Otherwise there is the factory ipod integration or Dice Electroncs.<ul><li><a href="http://www.harmankardon.com/drive-1/default.aspx?Country=US&amp;Language=ENG&amp;Regio n=USA&amp;#btm">linky</a></li></ul>

Default None will show info on symphony. I use Ice-link mounted by the symphony, pic inside

Blitz safe adapter is basically same as ice-link. there is one other adapter (who's name slips my mind) that has a small display you could mount on dash etc, and has a small controller that you mount under arm rest or something. I think that is too much crap all over and ice-link mounted to side of head unit is best looking/very functional.

Here is a night shot of mine with lights on:

And another night shot, but with lights off and flash on camera so can see ipod dock etc better:

Just an idea of what it (could) look(s) like mounted. The ipod is very easily accessed and read from drivers seat.

Default Yeah, I stand by my first statement, I think it looks out of place, too much crap.

I don't mind the screen as much (as it is very similar to actual Ipod) but controller bothers me, could put it back by arm rest, but then it could be tough to get to/use.

Default Re: Other than Ice-Link (LAME display on the symphony) what are my options for iPod integration?

[edit: saw you are not wanting to upgrade.. apologies)

I am not really an Alpine fan... but I like this... maybe not for my car, but it's pretty toight. Does quite a bit more than iPod integration.. my local Alpine shop is selling it for $449 installed.

Otherwise I am pretty lame and I just use a cassette adapter for my iPod car fix.

Default That looks like the pic (or atleast car) I was refering to about the pics. Thanks for showing him

what I meant. Granted where you have your controls and screen mounted looked much better than the B6 example.

Default LOL... I use the Tape adapter too, but I am tired of the cables and difficulty in getting to it.

I have really modded nothing on my car other than the GIAC chip.

I just wanted to add something to improve my daily comfort.
