Default Out of all the things that could have happened to my car

I was driving to my buddies house, on the express way, hit the gas to pass somone and all the sudden my foot goes to the floor. I thought the throttle cable broke. Look down, the gas pedal snapped right off. I managed to get it to his house with a little stub left, PITA. We expoxied and fiberglassed it together, hopefully it will hold until I get home. Gut instinct tells me the gas pedal is gonna cost like $200. Anyone have P/N for one? 97 1.8TQM. Sigh.

Pics when I get home.

Default Thats me!

Here's why it happened;

If you press the pedal to WOT, it hits the floor. However the part where you press on it with your foot can keep going, stressing it and causing it to break. Its made of chintzy plastic.
