out of town w/o a jack...will a bottle jack do??
So I'm out of town for the next 2 months without a good jack and don't really want to buy a new one only to drive it back with me. I'm gonna do my rotors this weekend. Will an 2-ton bottle jack suffice? If I'm going to work on all brakes, should I jack one corner up at a time and work on it? Or jack up the entire front end and put them on jack stands?..then later the same for the backend? Where is a good jacking point if i jack up the front and use jack stands??
Anyone know if a bottle jack will be able to jack my car up high enough to get the stands on?
thanks!

They're usually too tall, and they're pad is too small.
Find an inexpensive trolley jack instead. Bottle jacks typically stand too tall, and won't fit under a lowered car. Plus their lifting pad is miniscule and will poke a hole through the floorboard.
