Anyone with recent experience on getting a US spec car in Germany?
Last years data was conflicting at best.
AoA still has no formal program. but, I will spend four months there late winter/spring of '01, and that should cover shipping costs.

…you'd have better luck trying to arrange smart cocktails and a casual supper with Dr. and Frau Piech.<p>2000 Nogaro/Silver - S4

Tried to get the dealer near Ramstein, Germany to let me pick up my 1999 A4 at the factory but his story is that German customs will not allow it. My car even had to be put on a boat and sailed from one port to another to clear customs. Sure did have fun watching snooty Germans picking up their new S4's, S6's and TT's on a recent trip to Ingolstadt though!

2953 Slippers I got; drinks I was never smart with; her loss!
Sgt Rock Sounds like a (big)problem; just does not make sense that Audi can't be customer friendly on this type of situation.
Thanks to both for the feedback
