Paging AEB all experts! Is a K03 from an AMB motor the same as a K03 from an AEB?

Default Paging AEB all experts! Is a K03 from an AMB motor the same as a K03 from an AEB?
A little ot but: My frined has a 98 Passat with a blown turbo and I have my k03 from my 2003 b6. will it work ok on his passat or did the aeb come with the k03 sport? His car is all stock. An Etka search shows the same part number but mine ends with a J and his ends with an L.

I believe a K03 is a K03 but don't quote me.

2001 saw the K03 Sport turbo, but I'm not sure if that turbo became the everyday model on the B6.

I pretty sure my b6 had the reg k03. I think the sport was only on the TT?

as long as they are both longitudal motors its should be the same.

no the '01 AWM definatly had a slightly different turbo, k03s... 225TT had k04

You can run it, but it is slightly larger (very slight) nothing will happen
