What do you think of Exxon XD3 15w40 Diesel oil ? I got a gallon today off a clearance shelf for $3.99 . Only one they had and it was cheap and said "extended drain interval" on label, so I snagged it.

since it's summer. At that price, grab all you can get, oil's expensive in Canada. 15w-40 dino down to freezing in 1.8t, +20f in V6. Regardless, it should be super heavy-duty and even dino will function in the 1.8t for 5000 miles, more in the V6. There is a good UOA of Rotella T 15w-40 dino for that interval, Esso XD-3 should be at least as good. Just let me know if it's synth or what. Mostly 15w-40 = dino, but AMSoil makes a 15w-40 synth. Likely a clone of Mobil 1 Delvac 1300S, a super-smooth lube.

I'm going to stock up if I can find more.It has about the same zinc content as Castrol GTX. Its at a local discount store ,they had some Mobil and Mobil 1 also but 5w30 10w30 only at same price but per qt. I've got all that Havoline Synth you told me about and Castrol GTX . I'm stock up with almost 2 years of motor oil now. I have about 12 qts of synthetic oil and about 5 gallons of dino .
