What would you suggest the proper tire size for rims measuring 17x8 ? 225 or 235,will 235 rub?

that would completely depend on the ride height. How low is it?

Default How low is the car...
My 17x8s rub with 235/40s but im two fingers on level ground and only the passenger side rubs if I pull into a driveway too fast. To be safe from rubbing I would go with the 225s but they dont protect the wheel.
