paging oil gurus: M1 0w-40 doesn't seem to cut it for summer track days, what should I switch to?

M1 5w40? Elf 5w40? Castrol 5w40(I know audi junkie likes this stuff)?
I'll probably just buy whatever I can find but I'm wondering what I should try and get. Its hard to find anything other than BrandX 10w30 around here
Analysis of M1 0w40 with ~360 track miles

I actually dislike Syntec 5w-40. If you can find the Syntec 5w-50, that's a hit. German Syntec 0w-30 might work well too, depending on oil temps.
Basicly, M1 10w-40 Hi-Mi would be the next step up before a 50 weight and is an easy call for your application. The 0w-40 is just a thickened version of the 0w-30 I use in my Honda. It shears fast and does not handle fuel dillution well.
Renewable Lubes (RLI) makes a special RS4/FSI BioSyn oil if you really have fueling problems.
There are AMSoil products too, that are excellent.
I don't think Redline is really the answer for any street car, although I know a few pro teams using the RL strait 40.
