Got some paint from a local paint shop according to the paint code under the spare tire. Also got a computer scan paint match. Came back with the same color (+/- 1.8%). Painted my lowers - looks different. Any suggestions??? The color looks the same in the sun light. But in my garage looks different. Am I just color blind???
Thanks

My brother-in-law paints vehicles, and he had a tough time getting the paint shop to match some color for a plastic bodied ATV he was painting.
Turned out they weren't doing something right to compensate for the stuff that they add to the paint that makes it flexible for the plastic. I don't know the specifics about it though. I'm by no means a body work SME.
Good luck.

read below, i've seen them painted at a MA carshow and they look nice in the sunlight, but if they are inside the lowers tend to reflect whatever is down around them, so if you have a light colored carpet or something they will look light but if you are parked in a garage it will probably make them look darker. Also no sunlight they will look darker outside too.
My suggestion? paint them a touch lighter, nobody will notice and you will be the only one who knows that your lowers aren't matched perfect besides, who's going to notice if you went from black to silver anyway? If you use the flex additive it changes color to the human eye a bit too. Might want to adjust for that in your paint code.
I'm more curious why you stuck to the front and rear bumpers and didn't do under your doors tho.
