Default Painted my shifter plate last night. *PICS*

I happened to pick up some Duplicolor Engine Enamel to paint my hubs on my brakes a few weeks ago. When I sprayed it, I realized the color (Cast Coat Iron DE1651) was exactly the color of the interior trim, so I thought I'd buy another can and repaint my shifter plate. After messing up last week on it, I bought a new can and sprayed about 6 coats, and then another 3 coats of Duplicolor top coat clear. I think it turned out pretty nicely. I also resprayed the chrome surround around the shifter silver, because I accidentally got overspray on it last week. Let me know what you guys think....

Default To be honest, it looks like you painted it.

I don't like things painted that didn't need to be painted, and never were painted. If yours was scuffed, replace it with the correct part in the correct finish.

IMHO.

Default replace it with another piece of crap that will peel again? Paint, or replace with better,

not replace with the same.

OEM RS4

Default what shift **** and shift boot is that?? I like..

I recently did SS installation and hate how the shift boot looks now (shifter about inch shorter, so shift boot is all bunched up) and my non-sport shift **** is really worn and has a few nicks.. thanks
