Default Passenger seat heater acting odd

The only part that works is the side (bolsters?) pieces on the bottom part of the seat. The bottom middle part and backrest do not warm up at all. Also, with the passenger seat on 6, the side pieces are probably the equivalent of the driver's seat on 1 or 2.

Default Sounds like my driver seat. Does not completely warm up . . .

Driver seat warms nothing like my passenger seat. I have also felt my driver seat "on" when it clearly in the "off" position. I wondered if VAGCOM could see anything. Have not checked.

Friend of mine has an '03 passat and on the "1" setting it would burn her ***. She took it in and warranty replaced the whole seat. Not sure what the problem actually was.
