Default PCV Breather hose question

The breather hose coming off the block under the intake mani on my '01 1.8T has seperated just before the "T" where it leaves the block. I've searched around for a replacement and none of what I've found resemebles mine. Anyone familiar with this or am i just imagining things. ECS tuning offers one but its not listed for the AWM engine. Any help/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'd luv to avoid the dealer on this!!

Default It's a bitch on the AWM.

I did mine a few months ago. Save yourself the aggravation and buy an intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, and just remove the intake mani and the throttle body. It will give you MUCH more room.

That thing rots from the inside out... you will benefit from replacing other items such as the PCV valve listed in the walkthroughs out there. If you search around you will find some links that also list AWM part numbers. Good luck.

Default if you remove the 13mm bolt that holds the assembly to the oil cooler

it's fairly easy to do + remove coolant tank (well unbolt it and move to side)

Why not just remove the throttle body with the intake manifold?!

Default I have got part numbers inside for you... All for AWM

From the oil manifold on to the intake... These are part numbers for everything except the metal lines...

Seal for tube below - N 904 673 01
Tube from oil manifold - 06A 103 213 F
PCV valve "T" housing - 06A 103 247
PCV valve itself - 035 103 245 A
Suction pump - 058 133 753 D
Hose from pump to PCV - 058 103 221 D
Puck valve on inlet pipe - 06A 129 101 D

I would recommend changing all of these... I didn't at first and had to go back three times because something broke in the process... Also, take these parts into autozone and get new clamps to fit... What worked for me is a box of 4 small ones and one box for each size up for two sizes... So ended up with three boxes of hose clamps... Also, I would take some carb/brake cleaner to the inside of the metal lines while the rubber ones are out/diconnected...

Thanks for the info! sounds like I'll utilize the stealership for the parts and do the work myself. I like the idea of moving the coolant reservoir for more room. Gonna give that a try before pulling the intake. Thanks again!

Default Well, I removed both and painted them separately.

Obviously you could remove them together if you had no such plans.

Default there is a sensor on the bottom of the coolant tank.. so make sure you don't just

yank the coolant tank out.. remove 3 screws then slowly lift it up... the sensor has a little "clip" that you push down to make it release (im assuming you haven't removed it before)
