With four people in my car, I have to be VERY aware of the terrain in front of me. If not, the car will scrape over a brakeover or scrape on a driveway etc. I'm running Eibach Pro-kits with Koni Sport Adjustable shocks.

I run HR Ultra Performance Coilovers and I wouldn't say that it bottoms out. The wheels don't travel that far when you hit bumps cause the setup is quite heavy, but depending on how high you set your suspension you might scrape things. I used to hit speed bumps unless I went over them at an angle. The lowest part of the car is the under belly in the front. I just raised it up like .25" and that solved the problem.

I am running H&R race springs with adjustable Bilsteins.....no problems at all. When the car is loaded with the family I drive like a limo, when I'm alone I drive like a maniac, hence the race configuration. The Audi is a great family/sports car rolled into one.
If you add springs be sure to upgrade your shocks at the same time because you will have to anyways with the added compression of the springs.
