Default People who've had to replace Throttle Bodies...

What were your symptoms and did you throw any codes? I think mine is dead and I'm just wondering what happened with other peoples. How hard is the switch?

Default I had to...

I have a 97 1.8t and the little electric motor in the throttle body died. this threw a code having to do with the throttle body. I knew something was wrong when i had absolutely no boost. this happens becasue the computer drops you boost to something rediculously low when it senses the problem.

Very easy to switch. took 30 minutes.

Seems odd to have a throttle body need replacing. Give it a good cleaning and do another TBA via VAG
