where is the best place to get stronger pistons rods crank (if they are needed?) i was thinking about buying a used 1.8T with higher miles and either strengthening it to the hill by using forged crank, rods, pistong building or buying a race head with solid lifters depending on if i liek the chip, maybe a dahlback manifild and a K26 turbo then when my engine ****s out have this one built and ready to put in and do the free ECU upgrade. dahlback sells a complete engine, a 2.0 that handles 450+ hp and 9000+ rpm for under 8 grand, is this a good deal? or should i go milder than that because my %speed wont handle more than what? 300, maybe 350 hp at the crank.is all that forged stuff even needed for 300-350 hp? Im used to ford 5.0 liters and chevy 350s making 400+ hp but dont know whats required for my lil 4 cylinder, i did hear its based off a diesel, so thats good for strength. any info would be greatly apreciated.
