Can't you just order them on their website? I did that here in VA, took 5 minutes, got'em in a week

I looked into that...
but the only way to get the order processed was to mail in the personalized license plate application (slooooow, up to 10 weeks) or go to my county's main licensing department and fill out the application there. I think in Washington the reason that there is such an extensive wait is because of the review process/approval etc. 8 weeks does sound like a long time though...it may come faster (hope so). That is the length of time I was told the plates would take to get to me by the DVL worker.
