Default Hmm that seems reasonable...

1.3~1.4 is roughly what a SIII I think puts down steady state if you dig all the way into the throttle. I doubt it's a BB Vs Sleeve bearing thing...your K03 was built on the same techonology as that T28 and the K03 spooled up just fine for ya.

Maybe the software needs some work in the high altitude dept...

Regards,

James R.

Default Wee if you hear the exhaust. It'll be loud if the leak is big enough to affect spool up.

If it isn't the only thing I can think of is the turbo exhaust wheel was clipped too much (if PES still does that).

Default He said that he did before the install, then a second time when he was trouble shooting.

The shop has installed a couple apr kits and have not seen any problems, that's why I went to them in the first place. At this point I'm not sure whats up, I know that I cant afford any more labor as of right now to pull the car apart again.

Default Ok, someone below said check the turbo....you got a crappy box you said that almost fell apart...

then you said the heat shield was bent, check everything else out in the kit for dents, cracks and the like. Also, did you do a leak check from the air box to the intake manifold. see if you are holding pressure. do you have a Vag, to do a data run, wait you have a 97 the Vag wont log boost will it?

Default Cosmetically everything else "looked fine" but by no means am I an expert. The shop

said that they used the vag and everything was fine. At least that's what they told me, I have not used the vag tool personally.

Default PES does still clip the wheel, the turbo is pretty loud so as of now its hard for me to

differentiate between that and the turbo spool up
there are lots of new sounds. Is there something I should be hearing in particular, any idea how it sounds?

Default Man, well here is another question...they sent the wrong injectors, did they send anything else

that was wrong. this is odd, I've heard nothing but great things about PES and this kit. No CEL's or anything, what about an exhaust leak? Man I aint got no clue. You said its pulling out timing??? How about the gas??? or are your plugs fouled?

Woa! I was going to buy a T-28 kit for my car, but not anymore. I'm at high elevation too.

Default Hi...

Is it possible, that you can take pictures of the installation?
We would be very interested in seeing how the installation came out. If possible please take detailed photos. This may assist to see if there were installation errors.
Send all photos to info@pes-tuning.com
If they are in a jpg or like format.

Thanks.
