Picking up my 2001 A4 2.8L on Thursday!
After much thought I decided to buy the 2001 A4 2.8L/Sports/Celeb/Leather w/7500 miles. I started out my car search looking at the 2.8L Passat and the 1.8T A4. Then it became clear that I had to own an Audi(my first test drive helped!). So I started researching/shopping for 1.8T A4. Then i answer a dealer's ad in the paper for this 2.8L A4 which they picked up from an Audi auction(audi corporate car) It was so nice! Had everything I was looking for and more! Price wasn't bad either. $28,695. I figured the same car, new would run me at least $34,500
Thanks to everyone who answered my earlier post. Your opinions definitely helped me think this through.

Great, you'll love it!!
I just bought a '96 A4 2.8. I didn't want to buy new just yet so i'm gonna hold on to it for a couple years and trade her in for a S4. You'll love the car, the 2.8 is a great ride!
