Plastic pieces found in engine oil.....

Plastic pieces found in engine oil.....
Hello everyone!
I was checking my engine oil with the dipstick.. But surprisely I found a piece of plastic that was stuck (I do have high viscosity oil u know..) to the dipstick!! I first thought it was a piece of the dipstick that just broke off and fell into the little hole while I was checking the oil, but I was wrong. I have NO IDEA where the piece came from. It was yellow, and i believe it was a ring with a circumference of a dime. All I found was half of the ring.
so after all that, the question is, would any debris like that (found on the dipstick) get into the engine??
