Default Please Help

for some reason, whenever my car is cold the gears grind when i shift from 1st to 2nd, even when the clutch is fully depressed, does anyone know what could be causing this. Once the car warms up it doesnt happen anymore. I would appreciate all the help i can get, thanks

Check the fluid level in the gearbox. Insufficient lube can cause the box to operate erratically. Odd as it may seem, sometimes they come delivered with low levels. Also, you do not mention if you are thrashing the car when it is cold, and how cold it gets...

Default Try shifting from 1st to 3rd (skip 2nd) for the first few miles.

Many people seem to have this problem. It sucks.

Even though the shifter doesn't want to go into 2nd. you'll find it very easy to shift into 3rd from 1st.
