please help! a4 2,8
ok i have a 97 2.8 12v car has new plugs always use premium, new gas fliter clean maf clean throttle body new vacumme lines.
my cranshaft positioning sensor gave out, and i replaced it, but the night after i replaced it the car started to bog out and have a nasty idle but no cel. i drove it like that for about 2 days until the cel turned on. i went to check it and it said it was the maf. so i cleaned the maf using the spray and also removed the icv and cleaned it as well then reset the comp by disconecting it and it ran good.. 2 days later problem is back weird idle that drops once in a while and the car feels heavy and sputters.. do u guys think it can be a bad maff, or maybe a bad cat?

I'd suspect the MAF, the fault code comes up if a reading isn't logical. Also, low fuel pressure can make the car feel doggy. If original, the fuel pump is at the end of its life.

The car does have 190k but when its at wot it runs fine and it sometimes even smells rich, thats why i disregarded the fuel pump... I think im going to buy a maff, just didnt want to buy it without making sure it was it.. It seems that when i wiggle the conection of the maf it somethimes gets better.. But ive cleaned it and checked for ripped and or burned wires and everything looks fine
