I have a 2000 1.8t ATW A4 and it's been having a problem ever since I did some work to it. I put on an FMIC and when I really get on the throttle, it feels like my car will not produce any more power above 4500 rpm's. I thought that it was because I was boosting over 21 psi, and my engine was cutting off. I put a MBC in parallel with the N75 valve, nothing changed about my boost...I unhooked the N75 valve and just ran the MBC, still same boost...but isn't the N75 valve the only thing that reads boost? what is going on here? I know that the divertor valve and MAF are in good working condition. Could the air flow just be too much for the engine to handle?

just kidding sort of...
the N75 controls the wastegate. the ECU controls boost and the N75. The MAP sensor, which was on the stock intercooler, reads the boost for the ECU.
where is your MAP sensor now?
do you have a vag-com? log your request vs actual boost, this will give you an idea whether the ECU is shutting down the boost or something else is happening. depending on this, there are other things you can look into.

It seems to be boosting the same as when I had the SMIC. I do have a vag, and my boost was peaking at 23 psi, but that's about what is was with the SMIC. I bought a MBC but still can't keep the boost down.

the MAP hole is drilled all the way through. I had the MBC hooked up in parallel with the N75 valve, but didn't seem to work. Now I have the N75 valve wastegate and boost lines disconnected and i'm only using the MBC. I have an AWE boost gage in the vent, and I'm checking boost using my gage and VAG (P=942(MAF/RPM)-14.7). Why would it do this when I'm only WOT? It doesn't cut off when I reach 23 psi under 3/4 WOT.

also, get rid of the N75 race valve for now...if the k04 setup isnt working without those installed, it sure as hell wont work with them in.
btw, i have the same engine and the same k04 setup. its working fine. i have the k05 program from giac, which program are you running?
have you logged requested vs actual boost? what about the maf readings?
do a 3rd gear WOT run while taking data, then put the data in an excel spreadsheet and make a graph with rpm benig the X axis and mbar being the Y axis.
