Default Please Help - Cannot find source of Noise

So for a few weeks now I've been having this noise that sounds like the leaking of air (a swishing sound) that only becomes present at boost. Idle or reving at neutral does not produce the noise. My boost levels have not gone down at all.

I've taken the car to an exhaust shop and they said there are no exhaust leaks. I suspected the gasket between CAT and Downpipe but its hard to listen for noise there under boost (any other strategy?) If this noise is coming from the intake (intake leak) wouldnt the boost levels be affected as well as an ECU light?

Anywhere else where noise would produce only under boost?

Thanks

Default sounds like that "L" shaped hose on the intake manifold that goes to the suction pump (crack pipe)

Boost is only produced under a load so you won't get it to make noise unless you are driving or you can do a pressure test.

Default I think you told me this before. I checked and cant find a crack. Would you

know if this would affect the boost level? Since this is connected with the intake, wouldnt it lessen the boost levels if there was a leak? My boost levels have not been changed since the noise.

THanks again.

Default It didn't affect it on both atw and aeb engines. May be a lb or so. if it isn't round anymore then

its probably gone. You can't see some of the cracks b/c it could be on the seam or underneath it. Remove it and inspect it. I'd replace it for g.p. The newer ones are a revision I think. Look in the b5 faq, there is a method of making a pressure tester.
