Default Please HELP!! I'm stuck trying to replace the control arm!!!!

I deattached the bolts, but the ball joint of the control arm is giving me a hard time.
I believe I need a special tool to push the joint out. I try the generic tools but none of them worked.
Can somebody please tell me where to get this tool or how to separate the ball joint. My car has been down for almost a week, and I'm getting desperate.

Thanks in advance.

Default Which one?? If it's an upper, just keep trying, it will eventually come out...

if it's the lower front, a 2 arm puller should be able to get it out.. if it's the lower rear, you need a special press to get it out, or you can try using a pickle fork, but you will destroy the boot, so only use that if you are tossing the arm in the trash.

You can get the special press from any VAG tool supplier, like Zelenda.

Default Lower front, that should be doable with a regular press, though I have never tried..

try a 2 arm puller, or a tie rod end press..
