Default Please help me diagnose my ABS problem!!!

OK, here is the background story...

About 2 or 3 months ago my ABS module went out (flashing brake light with solid ABS light), I drove around on it for a while because I didn't have time to fix it and I couldn't be without a car while I sent it out to get repaired. About a month later I took delivery of my new B7 and was able to start working on my B5.
So I take out my ABS module and send it out to Module Masters to have it repaired. Reinstall it once I get it back and now the brake light is gone, but my ABS light is still on. Take it to Ron at VW Specialties and he said that my car threw a code for a bad right front wheel speed sensor. So we replace that, the ABS light is now off, but the car is still acting like it was with the bad wheel speed sensor.
When braking to a stop from high speeds, the car is fine, but when braking from low speeds, when you have slowed to about 3-4 mph the brake peddle starts fluttering like the ABS is kicking in and the braking goes haywire. To this point the car has always stopped, but my braking distance once the peddle starts going weird is definitely increased. The car hasn't thrown any more codes, and I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of what might be the issue and/or how to fix the problem.

Default No, you did not. Your tech relied on the computer to tell him what is wrong.

He need to log wheel speeds, one is dropping out.

Default Please elaborate. I have a 99.5 and I believe he said that you can't log at each individual wheel.

Is this incorrect?

Default In the wheel bearing housings (spindle).

Here's a view from the BACK of the wheel bearing housing:

I was wrong last time I answered that, but you can simply use a multimeter to lookat the signal.

Default just pull it out and wipe it off

I had the same problem you seem to be having and that was the fix. Although I looked at wheel speed on the VAG and could see which one was reading wrong so I knew which to clean.
