a week ago i installed a ko4 kit in my 99 1.8t. the bost was great but now the response when i hit the gas is very slugish. and the boost is not smooth. does anyone know the problem. i am still running a stock diverter valve..can that be the case? i have a forge one now but it is not installed. does anyone also have directions for that install. please helf. john

see if it helps. install is VERY straightforward. you have jack the car up and take off the skid plate. it *should* be located just under your turbo, held in with hose clamps.

.. also.. I am not sure you should be using the OEM diverter. U really need a BI-PASS-VALVE, especially since your chipped. I think thats your problem, and it probably broke cause of all the boost your pushin'. GO get a new BPV and you shoudl be set

jack up car.
remove belly pan.
look under the turbo (from the bottom of the car).
remove old BPV.
install new one.
put belly pan on car.
lower car.
seriously, the BPV is 2 tubes and a vacuum line. Can't be any easier.
