Default plugs for the hole from the front license plate frame

I just removed the frame for my license plate frame to discover larger holes. Are all the plates mounted like this? Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

Default For suggestions on how to plug holes ...

(I know some people hate hearing this) I verified that an archive search using "front license" or "front bumper" will yield methods that people have used to do this.

Haven't done it myself, since I live in California.

Default Sorry, that's wrong....California buyers read this........

When you buy a new vehicle in CA, you don't HAVE a plate to install, so how can the dealer install it? Future CA buyers.....if your dealer told you he must install the FRONT BRACKET, ask him why? What's the law that requires holes be drilled in the bumper? Tell him to velcro the bracket on.....

Default If you don't want a front frame, be sure to give dealer advance notice

I bought my car from a German dealer (selling to US customers) and it came with the front license plate frame installed. The dealer didn't have much time with the car ... just enough to take it off the ship from Bremerhaven, inspect it, and put it on a ship for the US. Perhaps the holder was installed then, and perhaps not.

Default Same with me at another SF Bay dealer

It was in the trunk when I took delivery. He just pointed it out to me.

Default I ended up buying a German front plate...

...looks better than the Texas plate and hides the holes. You can order German plates with your regular tag #...cops don't seem to care so far.
