Default (Poll) What helmet do you own? or plan on buying?

I am thinking about picking up a Bell M3 this year for events, but want some impressions of helmets they own.

Default You should not buy a helmet online...

The most important aspect of a helmet is that it meets the rating you'll need at the events you intend to use it, followed by fit. Different helmets have different fits (even within the same manufacturer), and everybody's head is a little different.

I went to OMP's warehouse in NW Jersey, and tried on about 5 different helmets before I found one that fit well. Some technically fit my head properly, but I couldn't stand being in them for more than 2 minutes. I found one that fit almost perfectly, and left me feeling completely comfortable (OMP's own branded helmet - made by AGV).

Default Also have a large mellon, and ...

the largest Bell wouldn't fit. Went with Bieffe.
