I run a bunch of different types. So far the best bang for the buck is Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice.

Default 205/55-16 Michelin Arctic Alpins for now
I scored a set of 16" steelies and these tires for this season. Previously I had run Blizzak WS-50s 195/65-15. If I don't like these, I'll buy WinterSport M3s.
