Default Is it possible to completely disable the brake pad warning light?

Went to the dealer at the start of the week and asked them to disable this light and was told they could solder the wires together to fix this.

What they actually did was change boxes, wires and connectors and charge 147$ in time and parts.

AND

The damn light in on again!

Now I asked to get a proper repair as I asked and have my money back but they said I would have to speak with the service director. Also tried to tell me that they would have to look further and charge more time.

How hard can it be to disable that light? Is it really possible that the only way to do this would be to dismantle the car even more to find a break higher up in the wiring?

Just twist the wires together, put a butt connecter on them, crimp, and done.

Default the easiest way is to cut the pigtails off the old pads, twist the wires together and plug it into

the car. fully reversable and free.

Default I haven't tried this, but with VAG-COM... (link)

<a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html</a>

Scroll down to 17-instruments on that page, check out the [recode - 07] section, note the brake pad sensor warning option.

Amazing. I am getting the cable in the mail soon. I hope I don't need the retail version to do this.
