possible to have a trip computer harness behind cluster even if not showing on cluster?....
have to replace my cluster, and wondering if I may have trip computer harness behind there so I can get a newer version trip in to have it.

Not any cluster will fit
not only are the ports in the back different depending on MY, the 99.5+ uses a CAN BUS to gather feedback from the car. (something you don't have) Moreover sometime between 97 and 01 the trip computer as whole get skinier depth wise.
