Is it possible to plug a symphony 2 radio into a symphony 1 car? Im having radio problems.

Is it possible to plug a symphony 2 radio into a symphony 1 car? Im having radio problems.
I noticed the back of the symphony 2 is the same as mine. I have non bose radio. I noticed someone on here said they retrofited it. My radio has a **** load os static on everything fm am cds. Also someone said it might be an antenna amp. Where is that located? Any input that may help is greatly appreciated. thanks
