Default Is it constantly on whenever the car is running ?

If so you may have a bad airbag control module but some people have had a loose connection under the driver seat cause the problem.

Default There is something wrong with your SRS system.

I know, wiseass answer, but....

You need to read the codes and tell us.

My money is on Pass side airbag resistance too high.

Default Re: Sensor in belt buckle.

Does it still go on if you don't use your seat belts? If not, I would say it has to be something other than the belt sensors. Both of the sensors on my rear seat belts have gone. Once someone used the seat belt, it wouldn't go off until I turned off the car. I scanned for codes too and got nothing. When the 1st one died on me I was under the warranty and took it to the dealer to repair. They had a hard time trying to replicate and they couldn't pull up any codes on their system either. I actually had to go down and show them, idiots. Anyway, when the 2nd died I was no longer covered by the warranty. I took it to the dealer thinking it wouldn't be bad, but for the sensor they told me it was somewhere between $300-$400. Depending on cash flow, I would say it's not critical to do. The dealer told me it wouldn't interfere with the airbag functioning, and I'd say that's the most important thing I think.

If it's the sensor in the seat belt, the light will be on whether you use it or not.
