Called the dealer to get a status on my order, still waiting for my first status. The salesguy is new to Audi so I thought I should accelerate his learning curve and called the sales manager. My salesguy didn't like that, told me not to call him cause he is a pain. Oh well.

He didn't see me in the print outs. So I suggested he find out why not. I told him I should be at least a B, because i know I cleared A, the order entry. It will be a month this week. Or maybe I am not even at A. That would make me very angry. That would mean they are pulling my chain and are over their quota or something stupid.<p> - George -

IMO it's bad form to go to someone's supervisor without letting them know first that you're going to do it if you don't get the information... if I were the sales rep. I'd be pretty unhappy w/ you now, too.

I've been waiting 2+ mos. for my Avant, w/ ~2 to go... patience...

One could say I gave him fair chance. I asked 3 times for a status over a 3 week period. He just said that he is waiting for a printout. That is not good enough in my opinion.

When I called his boss, all I said was, I would like to find out the status of my order. I didn't even go into details. He said I'll have your salesman call you.<p> - George -

Early May was when I placed my order, and the production release date is 7/21.....I was told by a few different sources that Avants are slow as are tips<p>'01 1.8T Avant - India Red

Fine. But it's still better form to let him know if you don't get it you're going up the chain. I stand by my original point.

what are your sources? My dealer says they have not seen delays in either...

Didn't yours just show up recently? or am I thinking of someone else?
